Maca Rotter from Televisa Consumers Products and Víctor Manuel López from Anima Kitchen
Cleo & Cuquín (52×7’), an Anima Kitchen and Televisa series, based on La Familia Telerín, will have Mattel as world licensee. The announcement was made by Maca Rotter, general director of Televisa Consumers Products and Víctor López, CEO of Anima Kitchen, who also mentioned that the first product line will be launched in December 2017; the series will debut on pay TV in November and after, on Canal 5. It will additionally have a strategy that includes app and website.
“This series is an evolution of La Familia Telerín, and now Mattel guarantees we have a product that is strong enough to be presented in international markets, including the US and Europe. The launching is scheduled for Christmas 2017, with a special edition doll by Cleo, and in Spring 2018 the broader line will be out in the market,” commented Rotter.
Meanwhile, Víctor López added that the Cleo & Cuquín strategy is focused on turning it into a transmedia product. Along with the TV program and the products licensed by Mattel, “in autumn, we will launch the app El Acostador that is an alarm with ten video stories for children to go to bed and an alarm for the morning, with songs from the series, as well as exclusive content for the web.”
On YouTube, La Familia Telerín´s 15 videoclips have reached more than 400 million views and more than 900 thousand subscribers, so Anima Kitchen will continue to produce for this platform.
