Televisa presented at its San Angel facilities in Mexico City, its new telenovela El Color de la Pasión, starring Esmeralda Pimentel and Erick Elías.Producer Roberto Gómez Fernández told PRODU this is an original story that reinforces the current company formula of offering both original and adapted content.“It a story never before done on television. Writers José Cuauhtémoc Blanco and María del Carmen Peña, had it locked away for more than six years and they still have about 25% left to write. It will come out to 120 hours or about 24 weeks on the air and will not be easy to extend,” said Gómez Fernández. He added the production complements Televisa programming grid: “Having original stories and adaptations is a great combination because it’s evident the audience wants to watch these products and also believe it’s good to offer them new things.”Gómez Fernández said the cast is balanced with established actors such as Patricia Reyes Espíndola, Helena Rojo, Claudia Ramírez and Luis Couturier, and newcomers such as Ariadne Díaz, Ramón Valera and the protagonists.El Color de la Pasión premiered March 17th on Canal de las Estrellas.
