Televisa began the shooting of their first telenovela entirely shot in 4K, Antes Muerta que Lichita (140×60), under the production of Rosy Ocampo and adaptation to telenovela from the series La Trepa de Covadonga Espeso for Televisa Spain. Aside from this innovation, it will have an ambitious digital project through the system Blinda Digital.It is the first telenovela recorded in 4K, the new format in which series are being shot in the US, that allow us to have film quality with a 16×9 optic, in which the framing is different. Also, it is a story that has an important digital project, that turns it into the first story that unfolds through a system called Blinda Digital, created by Televisa, which will mark a before and after in the industry, said Ocampo.Antes Muerta que Lichita will debut in the second semester of the year at 8:20pm, substituting Amores con Trampa by Emilio Larrosa and three weeks later in Univisión.”It narrates the trip of its main character (Maite Perroni), who is a victim of bullying, stalking and abuse, until a situation causes her to change. Therefore, we will see her transformation from the essence until she becomes a better woman. It has to do with feminine fulfillment. It is a romantic comedy, she added. The adaptation to telenovela is made by Pedro Rodríguez, Alejandra Romero and Humberto Robles.
