Telemundo’s election night coverage accumulated 13.3 million engagements

Noticias Telemundo’s election night coverage delivered record-breaking multiplatform performance, accumulating a total of 13.3 million engagements across Telemundo’s television, digital and social platforms. The special coverage delivered the most-watched livestream ever among Noticias Telemundo channel broadcasts on YouTube and also set new viewer records on Telemundo’s app.

On linear, Noticias Telemundo’s election night coverage reached nearly 5 million Total Viewers, including 2.1 million Adults aged 18-49, according to Nielsen. In primetime, Telemundo’s coverage averaged 1.5 million total viewers and 640,000 Adults aged 18-49. Compared to 2016, Telemundo grew its share of Spanish-language primetime election night viewers by 7 percentage points to 44%.

Election night coverage generated 7.4 million total views and 183,000 global actions for the exclusive digital coverage across platforms including the Telemundo app and website, Noticias Telemundo app, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

On YouTube, Noticias Telemundo’s special election night broadcast programming was the most-watched livestream ever among all Telemundo channel broadcasts, reaching 2.5 million views.

Noticias Telemundo’s election night coverage was the most streamed live linear simulcast on the Telemundo app, with a 63% increase in viewership over the previous record set earlier this month during the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

The Trump o Biden: La Noche Electoral livestream generated a total of 1.5 million views across Facebook and Twitter. On Twitter, election night coverage was the highest viewed election-related livestream this year.
