Telemundo announced that Vanessa Pombo has been promoted to the newly created position of VP of Production Management and Business News, Telemundo Network. She will report to Luis Fernández, EVP, News, Telemundo Network.
In her new role, Pombo will manage domestic and international broadcast news operations, production, and post-operations, and will spearhead initiatives to enhance the quality of Telemundo News broadcasts.
In addition, she will be responsible for identifying latest trends in news gathering technology and additional streams of revenue to maximize the outcome of shows under the News Department umbrella. Previously, she served as senior director, Business News where she was charged with finding new revenue opportunities and optimizing current revenue streams across the news division.

Pombo brings nearly 20 years of experience to the role. Prior to joining Telemundo, she spent her career at Univision, where she first began as an Audience Coordinator and worked her way up to become VP of Univision Studios, where she worked with sales, integrated marketing, and talent acquisition units to identify, develop and integrate products and ideas for the network.
