Telemundo premieres the sixth season of El Señor de Los Cielos (The Lord of the Heavens) on Tuesday May 8 at 10pm, for which the network made a preview in Mexico City that included the cast, producer Epigmenio Ibarra from Argos Television, and Marcos Santana, president of Telemundo Global Studios, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. Santana said they were aiming to create quality television.
“We have been working together with Argos Television for many years and we have dreamed and worked to carry out our projects, betting on quality TV, struggling with the media monopolies and for that reason, we are pleased to present a new season of a project like El Señor de Los Cielos,” Santana said.
Epigmenio Ibarra, project producer and CEO of Argos Comunicación, claimed that this story is linked to Latin America reality: “These stories fulfill the duty to talk about what the region conceals such as the links between State and crime, of what goes on in these countries when everything decomposes, and in which those who live in Mexico and the United States can relate to, hence the success. El Señor de Los Cielos is a painful, terrible, entertaining and brutal mirror, just as life is.”
Actors like Rafael Amaya, Carmen Aub, María Conchita Alonso, Miguel Varoni, Robison Díaz, Alberto Guerra, Ninel Conde, among others, walked through the red carpet.
