The 2021-22 Premier League season kicks off this weekend across Telemundo platforms, beginning this Friday, August 13 with newly-promoted Brentford hosting Arsenal at 3pm ET, live on Universo. Coverage begins at 2:30pm ET with a special La Liga Premier Extra pre-game show.
Opening Saturday on Universo will feature a tripleheader beginning at 7:30am ET with Manchester United hosting Leeds United, followed by Leicester City hosting Wolves who could have Raul Jimenez returning to the starting 11. The action continues as Mohamed Salah and Liverpool visit newly-promoted Norwich City at 12:30pm ET.
On Sunday, defending champions Manchester City headline the action as they visit Tottenham and new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo at 11:30am ET on Telemundo. Sunday’s coverage begins with Liga Premier Extra at 10:30am ET, followed by Tottenham-Manchester City on Telemundo.
Premier League is back with a lineup of Latino stars playing across the top English clubs including Mexican Raul Jiménez with Wolverhampton, Brazilian Richarlison and Colombian Yerry Mina with Everton, Brazilians Alisson and Fabinho with Liverpool, Brazilian Gabriel Jesus with Manchester City, Argentineans Emiliano Martínez and Emiliano Buendía with Aston Villa, Colombian Davinson Sánchez and Argentineans Cristian “Cuti” Romero and Giovani Lo Celso with Tottenham, and Colombian Juan Camilo “Cucho” Hernández with Watford, among many others.
Telemundo Deportes’ commentary team returns to lead coverage every weekend including Miguel Gurwitz, Andrés Cantor, Manuel Sol, Carlos Hermosillo, Copán Álvarez, and Eduardo Biscayart.
