Telemicro Internacional secures exclusive rights to Liga de Béisbol Profesional de la República Dominicana

Dominican television network Telemicro Internacional has secured exclusive rights for the next four years to Liga de Béisbol Profesional de la República Dominicana Winter baseball competition.

Telemicro will provide live coverage of the 2017-2018 season starting off the new baseball pact in October. The games will air Monday through Friday at 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 4pm.

“One way to distinguish a network is by its willingness to provide exclusive programming,” said Patrick Rivet, CEO of Thema America, which represents Telemicro Internacional. He also mentioned that sports content is a significant driver in securing carriage agreements and attracting audiences.

“By offering live broadcasts of the Dominican Republic’s popular winter baseball league games, Telemicro appeals to people with roots in the Dominican Republic as well as to baseball fans the world over. Telemicro’s sports coverage is indicative of the unique and high caliber content that identifies the network.”
