With 21 years on the air, Televisa Networks’ Telehit refreshes it look and launches new multi-platform. Guillermo del Bosque, producer and general director of Telehit, told PRODU the details of this “metamorphosis” that started this week, with new content, a new logo, and the launch of the channel’s digital platform.Del Bosque said one of the priorities was creating new TV series: “The channel has already produced five. Carlos Murguía wants us to work together again and we’re exploring different projects. We want to produce a couple of series; probably when I come back from Brazil. They would probably not be produced in Monterrey, but in Mexico City. We’re hopeful we can shoot between September and November, so we can have a series to premiere in February or March of 2015.”Because of the importance of digital in the channel’s communication strategy, Del Bosque said later this year it would strengthen its multi-platform with the introduction of a YouTube channel.“We’re working hard on Telehit.com and its social networks. We’re entering YouTube because it’s very popular among users. We put our brand there and within a week some of our content had over 700 thousand views,” he added.
