Indira Páez has been named VP, Regional Content Development, Latin America and U.S. Hispanic, for Sony Pictures Television (SPT), it was announced today by Ana Bond, SVP and Managing Director, International Production, Latin America, to whom she reports.
Effective immediately, Páez, who is based in Miami, will work closely with the senior management team to lead the company’s scripted development efforts in the region.
“We’re excited to bring Indira on board at SPT. As someone with hands-on experience wearing many hats throughout the development process, she’ll be a tremendous asset to the team as we continue to create compelling content for Latin American and U.S. Hispanic audiences,” said Bond.
Páez joins SPT from Telemundo Network, where she held multiple positions as Head Writer, Future Development Analyst and Multi-Platform Storytelling Writer. In her eight years there, she contributed to several projects, and most recently was head writer of Señora Acero, one of the most successful series in Telemundo history.
Prior to joining Telemundo, Páez was awarded an Emmy as co-writer of Gabriel Amor Inmortal in 2009. She is also known for her work as a playwright for award winning works such as Crónicas Desquiciadas and Amaneci Con Ganas de Morirme, among others.
