Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Latin America announced that production is underway on the third season of De Brutas, Nada. The dramedy, which consists of ten 45-minute episodes, is being filmed in Bogotá and Mexico City. The series is a modern take on the complexities of human relationships and touches on the importance of balancing both professional and personal lives while also questioning the roles of men and women today.
“We’re so excited to bring De Brutas, Nada back for a third season,” said Ana Bond, SVP and MD, International Production for LatAm and US Hispanic, SPT. “As the Mamobanda evolves, they will have to deal with the consequences of their past decisions and actions – though not always in the best ways but always through a youthful and comedic lens.”
Produced and distributed by SPT, the dramedy is inspired by the best-selling book by Isabela Santodomingo, Los Caballeros Las Prefieren Brutas.
The series stars Tessa Ía (Narcos), Christian Vázquez (I Carry You with Me), Carolina Ramírez (La Reina del Flow), Marimar Vega (El Juego de las Llaves), Diana Bovio (Mirreyes contra Godinez), José Pablo Minor (Cuna de Lobos), Julián Román (Hasta Que Te Conoci) and Horacio Pancheri (El Juego de las Llaves).
This premium series is directed by Rolando Ocampo, written by Barbara Zemelman, Valentina Pollarolo, Olfa Masmoudi, Daniel Jiménez and Puntafina. Creative supervision under David Barraza with Rafa Lara as showrunner. Leonardo Olarte serves as producer under Madeleine Contreras as executive director of Production for Sony Pictures.
The project, which began filming in Colombia, has the CINA -Incentive Audiovisual Investment Certificate- an initiative of the Government of Colombia, managed by ProImagenes, which seeks to boost production in the country, leveraging on the talent of the local industry. Its value is equivalent to 35% of the expenditure on audiovisual services in the country that a foreign company makes when producing an audiovisual work in Colombia.
