Sonar Entertainment announced that television industry veterans Matt Loze and Scott Packman have joined the company. Loze will serve as EVP, Development & Production, and Packman as senior EVP, Chief Strategy Officer, General Counsel & Head of Business Affairs.
Loze, who has spearheaded over 350 hours of cable and new media content, will lead Sonar’s scripted division in the creation of premium content with global appeal, overseeing the slate of current productions, the development of new content and first-look deals.
“We are very excited to have Matt at Sonar,” said Tom Lesinski, CEO. “His creative sensibilities, extensive experience in television development and production, and industry relationships make him the perfect choice to run our television business.”
Prior to Sonar, Loze led Scripted Entertainment for BBC Studios; he has also held executive positions with Fox Television Studios, Fox 21, Fremantle North America and Trilogy Entertainment.
Packman is joining Sonar to lead corporate strategy and the business and legal affairs team. He will also work closely with global department heads on all vital company business.

Packman most recently founded SSP Partners, which identifies and advises on strategic investment opportunities for private equity firms and institutional investors. Before that, Packman spent 14 years as a senior executive at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer; and he also held an executive position at Creative Planet and practiced at the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers, LLP.
