SOMOS Distribution: Developing two kid’n teenagers’s series with two important majors

SOMOS Distribution presented the Turkish series Behzat Ç, Hammer & Rose (8×60′) at Content Americas. In the words of Francisco Villanueva, VP and COO, SOMOS Distribution, the production has had a significant success on BluTV in Turkey. In addition, they are about to close several agreements with Love for rent in the market.

He also announced that they are developing two more GinaYei-type series for kids and teenagers, with two important majors that will be revealed at LA Screenings.

He added that they are happy with the premiere of GinaYei. “Simultaneously we released through Disney Records a full album and 15 videos very well received on YouTube.”

Although 2023 looks good for SOMOS, Villanueva noted that the number of productions is adjusting in the industry. “It is an opportunity for companies like us, who can make content and then sell it as a ready-made can, and that is interesting because we can take it to that point where we are side-by-side the platforms.”
