This year, a production hub in Miami from the Mediapro facilities in Medley was added to the transmission of the Premios PRODU.
Gabriel “Sopa” Suárez, Sinapsis Production, General Producer of the Premios PRODU, recalled that in 2021 Spain was the second production hub for the broadcasts. “This year we decided to make that hub from Miami. Being able to do it from Mediapro gave body and scope to the technical possibilities of transmission, of being able to go on air, with which we feel very comfortable”.
Sinapsis has been working on the awards ceremony for several months. “I work in the general coordination of the entire delivery from Buenos Aires and these last few days I was lucky enough to be able to travel to Miami and be responsible for the transmission from here.”
He said that in Buenos Aires there are more than 100 people working for Sinapsis Production and in Miami, together with the Mediapro technicians, the production team and the talents, there are about 30 to 40 more. “It’s a very important broadcast for everyone.”
Making use of LED screens, the production added day and night scenes of the city. “We always strive to show the surroundings of the location from where we are broadcasting. With this display of screens we can show that we are in a TV studio, but also the place from where we are airing —Miami— with day and night scenes because this is a ten-hour broadcast.”
He also added that having “a studio as important as Mediapro’s” opens the door to bringing guests for live interviews, and to bestow the awards. “It’s PRODU’s objective: to spread an entire culture, a language, a way of talking, a pride, and a way of producing that all Latinos have and that we celebrate on this special date for all.”
