RTVE: We brought to MipTV traditional series such as La Fugitiva and La Otra Mirada and shorter contents for generation Z

The novelties that RTVE took to MipTV include two series, one of which only the first episode has been aired, and another that is about to be launched. It is La Fugitiva (10×70’), that takes place between Mexico and Spain, with actors from both countries, such as Paz Vega and Julio Bracho; and La Otra Mirada (13×70’), that tells the story of a girls’ school in Sevilla in the 1920s, where a teacher revolutionizes teaching with feminist ideas.
They are also bringing the series Traición, that has been very successful on the Spanish screen. It is a fiction story on a family of lawyers that is in a complicated situation in terms of work, and the father of the law firm is killed in strange conditions.
RTVE is also making its way in digital and in the production of content for new audiences. “We recently launched a new web channel, Playz, for that generation Z, -who cannot be found watching linear TV- which includes products designed for their preferences. There are series, small formats, musicals, cooking shows. All the content and the formats belong to RTVE,” said María de Jesús Pérez, International Sales director at RTVE.
Playz was launched in October last year, and they are now in conversations with Latin American operators for them to integrate it in their offer.
The executive informed that they have signed the sale of titles with Univision, AMC, two channels in Mexico, and also with Colombia and Uruguay.
