Despite the situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic around the world, the Russian television channel RT en Español continues with its regular broadcasts.
“The main focus of our network is, undoubtedly, the pandemic. That is why with great precaution measures, a series of interviews and documentaries on coronavirus and the fight against the pandemic by the doctors in Moscow. Business trips have been canceled since borders are closed due to the pandemic. However, news programs, of course, continue to be made live and the quality has not diminished, in spite of taking restrictive measures with the personnel,” explained Victoria Vorontsova, the director of RT en Español.
Before the municipal orders issued by the municipality of Moscow, RT limited the number of employees that had to go to work in their facilities and chose the people who could work from their homes without affecting the newscasts.
“The special author programs continue to be aired indirect, most of the time they are not repeated. In this case, we use applications such as Skype to make them, and this way we can resolve this difficult situation. Furthermore, logically, the main thing to deal with on our news programs is the coronavirus and that is why we have made a special design dedicated to the topic with different graphs, elements, and so forth,” she reported.
