Zee Entertainment has the goal of launching its signal Zee Mundo in Latin America, and is additionally evaluating the possibility of launching a second signal, focused on people´s well-being and life in general.

Zee Mundo is a signal that exclusively airs films from India, mainly Bollywood.

The first step for them to set forth their endeavors in the region is to make their content known as having a differentiating element, such as being a new cinema option and experience.

“We also want to emphasize once again what Bollywood cinema is and its quality as a huge cinema studio, and to inform that all the content is exclusive, never seen before in Latin America, entirely dubbed into Spanish, and in high definition,” highlighted Rolando Figueroa, Head of Marketing for US Hispanic and Latin America at Zee Entertainment / Zee Mundo.

The executive sees the Latin American market with great challenges and opportunities for the channel, because they have more than 220.000 hours of entertainment that they offer in a linear and non-linear manner.

“We feel we are a different option, with films never seen before, that will be well received by the Latin American audience. This audience has great knowledge of and appreciates international cinema. The same way Turkish productions have been successful for their plots and high production value, Bollywood cinema offers universal stories, focused on human topics and their values,” he added.
