Mau Ricardo Rocky Montaner
On the 28th Disney+ premiered the new five episodes of the series Los Montaner, produced by Ntertain. Previously in Mexico City, the platform presented the cast, led by Ricardo Montaner, who assured that Mexico tops the audience of the series.
“[Mexico] is the country that has streamed more hours of our series and we wanted to have here the launch of these new episodes. In these new five chapters, we reached our expectations: we did it in six days and we don’t want to think about what will happen in the next five chapters.”
The showrunner, Santiago Zapata, highlighted that not only this country has welcomed the series, but also throughout Latin America: “We have also had feedback from Europe and the US, which is very satisfying. It was a long year of sharing with the family, of intentionally thinking about what we were recording and how we were doing it, in order to create an interesting, entertaining and authentic story. Technically we worked with one cameraman and a microphone, a showrunner, and a sound engineer.”
Ricky added that the series reached the audience goal in six days which was expected in three months, which is a dream come true for them.
Ricardo added that the last episode was the most intimate. “The first nine were taken from the content library of 10 months of recording, but knowing that we would record the last chapter made it special. It is not a reality show as such, but an unscripted project that emerged after two years of confinement, we were thirsty to communicate and this series was a way to touch people’s hearts and bring them a little joy; above all, to realize what family means.”
Zapata revealed that it is the first time he has carried out a project in this format, managing to imprint his cinematographic experience, through non-scripted documentary content “a little without structure, but more of reality, which was a great challenge. It is completely different because it has a common thread that today is not very common in reality shows.”
