PXTV: The Eutelsat award we won opened a door to a larger number of advertisers

After winning the in the Sports Channel category in the Eutelsat 2015 Awards, Óscar Mercado, PXTV COO, stated that advertiser’s interest in the channel has increased since it is a channel in a specific niche with a differentiated offer.“The key of this award was our bet for something new, in these awards they saw the contents we are producing and the bet on sports that not too many people have set their sight on. We bet not only on extreme sports, but also on new athletes, in order to become a seedbed and a window for them to be known in the world, so they can generate income from sponsorships”, explained Mercado.The director mentioned that in the past couple of years, advertisers’ interest has increased, however, “after the nomination to this Eutelsat award, more brands than ever came looking for us. This award is not only an acknowledgement, it is also a door to reach the next level. Brands notice the improvement in our contents and those who are also niche know that we are the best option to reach their consumers”.Finally, he said that this acknowledgment comes with a change of image, as well as new programming that will be ready for 2016.
