Catalina Ramírez Chaves, Co-Head of Propagate International, was at Content Americas closing deals and promoting what she considers its most promising formats for Latin America.
“We are once again pushing the Next Level Chef format very strongly, which has just been released in the United Kingdom. We have had conversations with different countries and we think it has great potential in Latin America,” she said. She believes that he region has done incredible things regarding the world of cooking shows and that Gordon Ramsey’s new show “has all the characteristics to become the region’s next great cooking show.”
She announced that they are about to close a couple of deals, but she can’t give details yet, adding that the market has been very productive. “It has been incredible, many interesting conversations, very happy that Ben Silverman (her co-CEO) was able to come to Miami. We are very happy to see how the Latino market continues to grow.”
For this year, she noted that the company has already several projects in development, but they cannot make announcements yet. She mentioned others like 90 Minutes, produced with Tplus, which is close to completing development and starting production. And soon they’re going to release Pinches Momias on ViX+.
“For 2023 and 2024, we have the mission of continuing to find stories, to continue working with incredible showrunners like Santiago Limón, with whom we love working with, and to continue exploring for other talents and creators, and give them the opportunity to tell their stories,” she said.
