“We’re here to stay,” said Alejandro Delgado, Head of Institutional Support and Relations of ProMéxico, when PRODU asked him if support to the audiovisual industry would be limited to Mipcom 2014, given that Mexico is the country of honor.“The government is enthusiastic and has provided all the available resources for a fundamental sector: creative industries such as audio and video production, film and videogames. It’s a decision by the Mexican government to boost the industry,” said Delgado.According to ProMéxico figures, the country produces over 100,000 hours of audiovisual content, which is seen in over 100 countries, reaching a billion viewers.
