Physical markets will not evaporate

Markets and direct client visits are two essential tools for Endemol Shine International´s sales.

These are complementary tools that cannot be replaced by one another. “Trips do not replace fairs because these have an essential component that is the social part (events, connect with new people) that foster business,” commented Michelle Wasserman, Senior VP Formats Licenses and Content Development at the company.

She added that, albeit there are increasingly more online negotiations, presential encounters, whether in physical markets or in direct visits, are ver necessary for the sales and purchase of content.

On the other hand, she expressed that, beyond the issues generated by coronavirus, companies are focused on lowering costs, which is why they send fewer and fewer executives to fairs. “There might be fewer markets and much more focused, but the future of physical markets will not evaporate”.
