Jaime Camil
Production has begun in México on My Boyfriend’s Meds, a bilingual comedy from Pantelion Films, a joint venture between global content leader Lionsgate and Televisa, Fuego Films and Traziende Films starring Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin, Pulling Strings, Ilusiones SA), Sandra Echeverría (Savages, Busco Novio Para Mi Mujer), Brian Baumgartner (Foxcatcher), Ana Belena (Sangre de mi Tierra), Kevin Holt (Luis Miguel: La Serie), Daniel Tovar (Waking Up with You), Pamela Almaza (Guerra de Idolos), Juan Soler (Marido en Alquiler), James Maslow (Big Time Rush), Brooke Shields (Mr. Pickles) and Jason Alexander (Seinfeld).

Argentinian filmmaker Diego Kaplan (2+2, Desire) is directing and screenplay by Gary Marks (The Music Never Stopped) and Randi Mayem Singer (Mrs. Doubtfire, The Tooth Fairy). My Boyfriend’s Meds is being shot in Mexico City and Riviera Nayarit.
In My Boyfriends Meds, Echeverría plays Jess, a talented, high-powered marketing executive who falls for Hank (Camil), a charming mattress store owner she meets while shopping for a new mattress. Hank’s charm and good looks make Jess believe he is Mr. Right, but Hank actually suffers from multiple disorders for which he takes what seems like an endless assortment of prescription medications.
On the night Hank decides to reveal his issues to Jess, she surprises him with an invite to accompany her on a business retreat to an island resort. Surprised by this next step in their relationship, he keeps his secret a little longer. After arriving at the remote island, Hank is horrified to discover that he doesn’t have his meds. Comedy and chaos ensue as Hank is no longer able to control his various symptoms.
