Jim McNamara, Chairman of Panamax Films & vice chairman of Hemisphere Media Group
In the framework of the AHAA conference that took place in the Eden Roc in Miami Beach, Jim McNamara, Chairman of Pantelion Films & Panamax Films & vice chairman of Hemisphere Media Group, participated in a talk on how he has developed a successful business model for Hispanic cinema aimed at enthralling audiences that speak Spanish, and the bilingual audience, as well.McNamara told PRODU that Pantelion Films will soon launch two films. The first is an animation film titled Un Gallo con Muchos Huevos, made in Mexico which will be launched in the US on August 30th, and the second is an action comedy, Compadres, starring Omar Chaparro, Camila Sodi and Aislinn Derbez, that is expected to come out the fourth quarter of the year or the first next year. When consulted about his participation in AHAA, McNamara said that the most important movement in the history of advertising and marketing nowadays is the transition from analogue to digital. Everything in advertising has to be oriented in this sense. He also said: The link between creativity and total marketing is stronger than ever and has to do with the manner in which the audience´s attention is captured. In the past, the strategy was to launch more money at the market, today it is necessary to use more creativity. The message has to be creative to catch people´s attention because there is so much noise in the market that if you don’t have an easy to digest message presented in a creative manner, you are not going to penetrate millennial´s minds.
