In the aim to offer a massive and accessible service, Disney+ decided to establish agreements with important local players who added the streaming service to their platform. This is the case of Flow in Argentina; Izzi, Telmex and MercadoLibre for Mexico, and Globoplay, Vivo, Mercado Libre, and Bradesco for Brazil, among others.
“The idea is to continue expanding our agreements to reach as many people as possible. Our strategy is to be massive and that is why we seek the greatest diversity of options, both in terms of contracting and payment methods. We know there are still problems with credit card payments and want to offer all the possible options,” explained Natalia Scalia, head of Direct to Consumer at Disney Latin America.
The executive once again highlighted that starting Tuesday, November 17, Disney+ will be the only streaming platform where all the exclusive and original content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic can be found, with unlimited and permanent access and without advertising cuts.
She also commented that the platform is very friendly and easy to access, and will be available in a vast range of mobile devices, Smart TV, videogame consoles, and multimedia players connected to the Internet.
Subscribers will be able to enjoy high-quality content, on up to four devices simultaneously, unlimited downloads in up to ten devices, the possibility to set up seven different profiles, and for several subscribers to watch the same content from different places, among other things.
Regarding original production, Scalia announced that they are working on 70 projects in different production stages and highlighted that what differentiates Disney+ from the rest of the platforms is mainly its content and she thinks it will be an excellent complement of Disney’s linear channels.
