Otto Padrón, president and CEO of Meruelo Media, announced in their upfront that they will launch a new channel called LA1 at a national level in the US at the beginning of 2016 Held in Beverly Hills in the presence of clients, directors of Meruelo Group and the MundoFOX network, Padrón also announced that MundoFOX 22 from Los Angeles has had a constant growth in different audience segments, rating as a success the alliance of Channel 22 with MundoFOX.LA1, which will have all the glamour and creativity of Hollywood where Meruelo Media has its headquarters and studios, will be made up primarily by the structure and distribution of Super 22, which will now be LA1.In an interview with PRODU in the London Hotel in Beverly Hills, where the upfront was held, Padrón gave credit to Rick Rodríguez, who joined Meruelo barely six months ago and is very outstanding for his work of years in Discovery Latin America, for the programming design he had made for LA1.In the upfront, participants were also shown MundoFOX 22´s bar for 9pm, made up of Turkish and Brazilian novelas, and Colombian series.
