Kim Reed Fragione: By 2012 one out of every three kids in the US will be Hispanic

(Maribel Ramos-Weiner). Being that Hispanic children are a much more acculturated segment, Sorpresa will include bilingual programming as a part of the revamp being done on the network by Olympusat. “Part of Sorpresa’s overhaul is to create a network that can reside next to the major networks that US Hispanic children want to watch. What we are very excited about, in Sorpresa, is that by 2012 one out of every three kids in the US will be Hispanic. This is a very important network and although we just acquired the channel, we see that this is a brand that throughout this year and the next could evolve into something that kids really want to watch” Kim Reed Fragione, COO at Olympusat said to PRODU. Reed Fragione emphasized Olympusat’s philosophy of improving their Hispanic channels. “Despite being on primarily Hispanic tiers and basic distribution in Puerto Rico, we believe it will pay off down the road, significantly, and more importantly bring viewers in right now”.{Watch video interview with Kim Reed Fragione from Olympusat;www.produ.com/produtv/popupEnglish.html?IDnotiE=71}
