Olympusat is celebrating 20 years and in this period it went from being a small distribution company to being the owners of more than 20 channels, which they also operate, and offering deep technical service, from satellite to land delivery. “Everything that is necessary to handle a network and a bit more, we do it,” says proudly Tom Mohler, founder, and CEO of Olympusat.
Among those accomplishments, he mentioned the OTT Vemox platform. “Vemox is a business to business platform that we have on Amazon, using their paywall, it is doing fine. We are launching it with Microsoft, with Roku; we have multiple cable operators and telcos that will launch it next year,” he added.
And the most recent member of the Olympusat family is the online programming purchase and sale market: OlyHub.
“You can go online, choose the country you want to buy for, the genre, even the actor you want to see. And narrow down, down, down, until you find what you want as a buyer for your station or your OTT platform, or for whatever it is you’re buying, without having to travel,” he explained.
Mohler said that for OlyHub –they are currently in the beta phase- they have twenty companies. “We aren´t after the big studios, but seeking medium to small companies. That is our target and who we could really benefit”.
