Olympusat has more than 6 thousand hours of new high-quality, low-cost fiction content from several countries (including China, Ukraine, and Russia), in Spanish for distribution in the region.
“We are one of the few companies that can attempt to do something like this, because we have 30 dubbing rooms in Mexico working two shifts per day. You need to have many dubbing rooms to be able to translate so much content with the highest quality,” explains Tom Mohler, CEO of Olympusat.
Mohler mentioned that they are signing output agreements that will provide contents at competitive prices.
“The amount and the quality of the content we have allows TV stations in Latin America to partner with us and that is what we are seeking: Olympusat affiliates across all Latin America” he expressed.
He added that they expect to sign 50 agreements this year, in which affiliates will be able to program six hours of primetime per day. “We additionally try to make sure that the subscribers integrate our OTT Vemox. With that affiliation, they market the platform and obtain three minutes per hour on VOD and on any linear channel to sell local advertising,” he said.
This content covers all the genres: from action to thrillers and dramas. “When we buy the material in all the genres, we bear in mind that our target audience in the US is comprised by people ages 18-34 and 18-49 and in Latin America a bit older,” he ended.
