Novazul: We hope to get involved in local film production

Novazul Entertainment, a Dominican company that has worked mainly as an audiovisual buyer and distributor, will begin to produce content. “We hope to be able to get involved in the production of local cinema. We understand that the Dominican market needs actors to help it promote and grow, and Novazul is always at the forefront,” announced Alexander Pérez, Director of Content & Acquisitions of the company.

The move came during the pandemic when they saw that there is a need for local content to travel to several countries beyond the Dominican Republic. “The main challenge is to find a good story and let the world know about it,” he added.

Novazul also has approached companies from other Latino countries to co-produce content, which is why Pérez emphasizes that “the Dominican Republic is in an interesting moment in which international markets are looking at us.”

Novazul will continue with its core business and at the moment they are immersed in buying new content – series and movies – for next year.
