Telemundo announced that Noticias Telemundo Fin de Semana consolidated its position as the #1 Spanish-language weekend newscast among adults 18-49 on Saturdays and Sundays at 6:30pm/5:30 CT, according to Nielsen.
The newscast anchored by Julio Vaqueiro has outperformed Noticiero Univisión Fin de Semana on Saturdays and Sundays by 13% with a combined average of 294,000 Adults 18 to 49 vs 260,000 during the last four weeks.
“Viewers are responding to the work of a team devoted to the production of meaningful news that actually touches their lives. It is a privilege and a responsibility to be the main source of news for Latinos every weekend. We know that they have other options, and appreciate the fact that they see us as the most relevant and trustworthy source of news out there,” said Vaqueiro.
Likewise, Noticias Telemundo Fin de Semana is delivering 18% combined average growth among adults 18 to 49 season to date, in contrast to Noticiero Univisión Fin de Semana which has shown a -25% loss among adults 18 to 49 for the same period.
