Nickelodeon LatAm presents its seventh original production, Toni la Chef, which will debut May 4th in Latin America

Nickelodeon Latin America organized a visit to the set of its seventh original production, Toni la Chef (40×30′), the fifth it produces with José Vicente Scheuren’s Cinemat in Miami.The ones who attended the visit were Tatiana Rodríguez, senior VP of Programming and Creative Strategies for Nickelodeon Latin America; the Ecuadorian writer Catharina Ledeboer, who is the creator and main scriptwriter of the series (also creator and scriptwriter of Every Witch Way, based on the series Grachi) and the Venezuelan chef and presenter Lorena García, who is the culinary producer of Toni la Chef.The five main actors of the series were also present: Ana María Estupiñán who plays the role of the main character Toni Parra; Patricio Gallardo; Josette Vidal; Luis Álvarez and Jonathan Freudman.Toni la Chef, which debuts May 4th on Nickelodeon Latin America, is about a rebellious and audacious teenager bound to get in trouble, until she arrives to Miami to live with her crazy grandmother, Dolores, and together they open up a restaurant. Toni finds her passion and direction in the kitchen, while in Miami she found her first love.”When we did the focus groups to choose the new story, we found out there was a big interest in children to learn how to cook. This story about Catharina Ledeboer seemed precisely what we were looking for,” told Rodrigo to PRODU.Rodríguez also announced a fourth season for Every Witch Way, and the soon start of shootings for the anglo version of Toni La Chef, Thalía’s Kitchen, for Nickelodeon USA, also with Cinemat.
