With headquarters in New York and a production hub in Colombia, Neuplot started operations three years ago as an intersection between entertainment and advertising projects. It is co-producer of the biopic Pambelé by 11:11 Films & TV and RCN recently launched in Colombia.
The founders are both Colombian: A.F. Cortés is the Creative Director and Dre Libreros is the executive producer. Both have a background in advertising.
“Neuplot is a content creation and production studio. The project began with the series Kid Pambelé. Before that, I was founding partner of an advertising agency called Vox Collective. We worked in advertising for many years and with this experience, decided to bring it to our entertainment projects,” expressed Cortés.
The production company is currently developing several commercials, a film titled Pilgrimage to CBGB’s, a digital series called Rehearsal Space and the series Polaroids, based on the book by Virginia Mayer.
“Polaroids is a book we bought, written by a Colombian-American writer, Virginia Mayer, very controversial in her local market. It is a comedy about a girl that is looking for her path, lost in New York. It is truly funny and I think the audience will like it a lot,” commented Libreros.
Rehearsal Space is a digital series with iconic artists in their own work space. “We shot a live song and have an intimate dialogue on the creative process. For the first episode we had Lee Ronaldo from Sonic Youth,” added Cortés.
