Telemundo Internacional will launch in February in Latin America, with the exception of Mexico, Telemundo´s most recent original production, La Fan (120×60´), starring Angélica Vale.
This comedy will complement the signal´s programming, which, since December expanded its presence in the region with its incorporation to DIRECTV.
“We are pleased to start the year announcing great launches, and, in a first window, as is the case of this new Telemundo production, La Fan. Its incorporation to our grid is part of a strategy that seeks to offer more and better entertainment to our current broad audience, as well as new audiences we now have the possibility to reach thanks to our recent agreement with DIRECTV. This has allowed us to expand Telemundo Internacional´s presence in countries such as Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, and to enter stronger in Argentina,” commented Klaudia Bermúdez, SVP and general manager of NBCUniversal International Networks Latin America.
“To start 2017 with the debut of La Fan on our primetime is a big bet that aims to position our signal as a very solid option in the region with exclusive and original contents. This telenovela proves our commitment with Latin American audiences that seek quality entertainment that can be enjoyed with the entire family,” added Karen Barroeta, the company’s senior Programming, Marketing and Creativity VP.
La Fan marks the return to Vale telenovelas, after more than ten years aways from this genre.
