NBCUniversal Latin America held its 2018 upfront, through a series of events in Cancun, Mexico, in October. In the meetings, they gathered 500 advertising clients from the region. The final presentation for more than 110 clients took place on Friday October 20 at the Marriott
Casa Magna Hotel in Cancun, where they announced a sustained increase in rating of each one of their five signals, more than 100 hours of original production, 12 million followers on social networks, 120 new advertising clients on their 2017 portfolio, VOD content and the launch of Telemundo Internacional Play, as part of the TVE offer.
“We are focused on the development of first-rate content and on the constant innovation of the creativity and innovation experience, we offer our advertisers, distributors, and consumers. 2017 has undoubtedly been, a year of great accomplishments” commented Klaudia Bermúdez-Key, senior VP and general manager of NBCUniversal Latin America. “Our content offer for 2018 will allow us to continue breaking paradigms and generating innovative entertainment experiences.”
Universal Channel announced the arrival of El Marginal, the first series produced in Latin America that the channel airs. MacGyver and Lucifer joined the 2018 debuts. Syfy announced the arrival of Game Face, the second season of The Shannara Chronicles and Syfy Ya, an original production, dedicated to news in this genre.
Universal Studio will air once again, the live and direct broadcast of the Ibero American film Award Fenix. E!, with a growth of more than 50% in the region, presented the debut of Wild On! Latino, Quiero Lucir Famosa, Kiss Bang Love and the second season of Cámbiame el Look. Telemundo Internacional recorded a growth of more than 300% and highlighted debuts such as: El Señor de los Cielos 4, La Querida del Centauro, Bajo el Mismo Cielo, Silvana Sin Lana and live music events.
