The simultaneous broadcast of NBC Universo’s first original scripted series {El Vato;www.produ.com/television/videos/index.html?noti=10751} (10×60’) delivered a combined average of 876,000 Total Viewers last Sunday April 17 at 10pm, according to Nielsen.Starring Regional Mexican star El Dasa, the premiere episode averaged 802,000 Total Viewers and 408,000 Adults 18-49 on Telemundo, and 74,000 Total Viewers and 50,000 Adults 18-49 on NBC Universo. On social media, El Vato reached 950,000 global Facebook users, outpacing recent scripted entertainment programs.Produced by Endemol Shine Latino and Boomdog, this dramedy marks the acting debut for the talented and charismatic singer from Sonora, México who takes on a new challenge to expand his artistic career. The series follows an aspiring singer, El Vato (El Dasa), as he navigates life in Los Angeles after landing a once-in-a-lifetime record deal. He risks it all, leaving his life in Mexico for the bright lights of Hollywood and a shot at stardom.
