NBC News, MSNBC and Telemundo will host the first democratic presidential primary debate of the 2020 cycle live from Miami on Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27.
“We are honored to be the first Spanish-language network to bring the first democratic presidential primary debate to the U.S. Hispanic audience, right here from our own back yard,” commented César Conde, Chairman, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. “We will leverage all our resources at our Miami headquarters Telemundo Center to make sure we provide the most comprehensive and robust coverage of these important debates, in the language our audience prefers. We are living at a critical time that could redefine the role of the Hispanic community in our country. We want to ensure Hispanics are engaged and have access to trustworthy, reliable and relevant information to make decisions from the moment the 2020 electoral cycle starts.”
The prime time events will be broadcast live across all three networks with real-time Spanish-language translations on Telemundo. In addition, the two-night special event will also be streamed for free on NBC News’ digital properties, including NBCNews.com, MSNBC.com, NBC News Mobile App, and OTT apps in addition to Telemundo’s digital platforms.
More details on the venue, moderators, and timing will also be announced at a later date.
