National Geographic Bios’ new original production Vidas que Marcaron la Tuya, produced by Underground, will be launched on Sunday, November 11 at 10pm.
“We manage, together with Underground, to tell these biographies in a very modern way. We are producing contents that are going to transcend and reach the heart,” explained Diego Reck, Executive VP at National Geographic Partners in Latin America.
Fernando Semenzato, Senior Production VP at National Geographic Partners in Latin America, added that they have plans to continue with this franchise with other characters that are soon going to be announced and that are added to the Argentinean Charly García, Gustavo Cerati and the Mexican Alex Lora.
These three characters were chosen by the people through polls on social networks, for which they created specific content.
Pablo Culell, Production and Contents director at Underground, highlighted that it was a great challenge to do these biographies of such emblematic characters of the Latin American pop culture and that even though their specialty is fiction, this experience is also good to tell real-life stories.
“National Geographic gave us a great deal of freedom to work and precisely what they wanted from Underground and Sebastián Ortega was to have their stamp to handle another language for another type of audience. We work a great deal on the edition and on looking for unedited material,” he ended.
