MVS continues to strengthen its service offering by launching the first package of free satellite channels. In addition, it began an aggressive campaign to position its MVS Hub platform, a service aggregator granting preferential prices when using it to contract apps such as Netflix and Prime Video.
“We are embracing change, new technologies, and seeing how we reinvent ourselves. At this point, we decided to launch the +TV service, a free satellite channel package- which will have a certain level of significant penetration for those homes lacking the possibility of good bandwidth. The service is now available, and households can purchase it in the upcoming months. If the client already has an antenna, we add 64 channels for free, such as Telemundo and Nick Jr., etc. If not, they can contract the antenna in a single payment plus an annual maintenance fee,” explained Eduardo Peniche, Marketing and Commercial Director of MVS TV.
He added: “It is an additional offering, as each service or platform plays a different role. FAST channels or platforms are not the same since +TV renders pay TV channels with a great offer because they continue to play a great role in the industry. Being a satellite service, we will reach all corners of Mexico.”
Regarding the MVS Hub platform’s first results, he said: “MVS Hub is a great success. As a platform that integrates apps plus our library, it has a great offer in one place. The app has a more aggressive campaign, with the advantage of offering all Dish content once contracted. In addition, the same search engine covers all the platforms contracted. Another option is to subscribe to them with us at a better fee and on the same invoice. We are all making efforts to improve the user experience.”
Regarding the technology in place, Peniche expressed: “The platform was developed with the support of many technological alliances, providing great quality, development, and speed in its interface. They are projects that take a long time to plan, but with the right partners, everything results perfectly.”
“It is difficult to envision yourself two years from now because of the constant change of technology. AI has modified the entire algorithm we had for data extraction. Today, we can predict through machine learning what the trends in screen exposure habits will be, something that we did not imagine before. Artificial intelligence is undoubtedly a key piece due to its possibilities. In terms of metadata, it is helping to make much more accurate decisions, which is why it is revolutionizing everything,” he concluded.
