For two consecutive days, Azúcar (80×60′), the epic new telenovela produced by RCN Television Group airing on MundoMax 22 (KWHY-TV) beat Eva la Trailera (Eva the Truck Driver) on Telemundo 52 (KVEA-TV) at 8pm in Los Angeles with Adults 18-49, delivering 57% more impressions than Telemundo during the time period. Azúcar, which successfully premiered last week on MundoMax, continues to outperform the competition across the country, and complements MundoMax’s successful primetime in Los Angeles, beginning with Diomedes at 7pm and Amor de Contrabando at 9pm. “MundoMax continues to beat long-established players in key markets by showcasing new and groundbreaking content, curated for the modern viewer. Azúcar is another high-quality production with a compelling story that audiences across the nation have embraced,” said José Molina, presidente. Originally produced by RCN Television Group, Azúcar combines lavish period sets, exhilarating shots of the Colombian landscape and stellar performances by some of the hottest actors in Spanish-language television into an epic tale of forbidden love, passion, betrayal and a deadly curse.
