Mónica Lozano, CEO, and producer of Alebrije Producciones said in #VisitaPRODU that as a producer her main function is to limit the risks of production to achieve the greatest impact on the audience and it doesn´t necessarily have to be economic.
“Knowing what the audience is watching, what consumers want, who you are competing with, which are the elements that can favor the production`s success and not necessarily an economic success, but of impact, is the best way to lead your audiovisual material to success. A success that is not expressed in ratings or in the box office, but that is measured in how it can affect society,” said Lozano.
The executive also commented about her next projects, among which she highlighted the launch of Mamá Se Fue de Viaje, a film produced with Bruce Boren´s THR3 Media, to be launched on September 13. Another project they have, also with Boren, is a film called Antes Muerta Que Casada, with an original script by Regina Solórzano to be directed by María Torres. She also mentioned they are about to finish a 25-episode series with Patricio Wills and Televisa, called Los Pecados de Bárbara.
Lozano mentioned they are in the process of co-producing with Spain, a dream they have always had. “We must make the most of the fact that both countries are in a great moment, we share the language and the culture, and that way we can get our contents to be watched internationally,” she concluded.
