MIPTV receives the new bets from The Mediapro Studio: The Paradise, Vota Juan, Dio’Ce and Money balls. Imagina International Sales distributes these productions in the international market.
In fiction, The Paradise unveils what a paradise like Fuengirola can host. On the streets of their “little Finland,” a community of Finnish people will be the witness of this “Nordic noir” thriller when two apparently disconnected murders shake their streets. This 8-episode series, starring Fran Perea, has been co-produced between The Mediapro Studio and the Finnish Yle Drama and MRP Matila Röhr Productions Oy. The Mediapro Studio will show the first images to clients in the market.
Additionally Vota Juan, in which Juan Carrasco, a clumsy minister of Agriculture seeks to become president. This simpleton and mediocre politician will try to win the elections availing himself of his vas capability for improvisation and his will. The hilarious series was co-produced by TNT and 100 Balas (The Mediapro Studio).
They are also taking to the market the documentary Dio’Ce that focuses on the crude reality of a group of young neighbors from a district in Naples controlled by the Camorra. These teenagers must decide if they will join organized crime or seek a path alternative.
As for entertainment formats, the novelty in MIPTV will be Money balls, a fast-paced contest in which knowledge and luck are mixed with the promise of a great prize. This program was co-produced by The Mediapro Studio and Phileas Productions.
Along with these productions, there will be new seasons of Estoy Vivo and Todo Por El Juego.
The Mediapro Studio will be present in the R7.N1 in Cannes.
