With a family strategy and female approach, Meruelo Media launched a second open TV channel in Los Angeles, KBEH TV Channel 63.
Meruelo Media, led by veteran media executive, Otto Padrón, has been for months acquiring content from the best sources in the industry. “This is a great moment for our company and for our entire industry. Not every day a new TV channel is born, especially in the #1 Hispanic market of the US and this, deserves the best” said Padrón.
The channel offers an interesting collection of classic contents with premieres for the Los Angeles market. “This is just the beginning, much more is coming” he concluded.
Just a year ago the company announced it was buying the KBEH-TV 63 station from Hero by Bob Behar, for US$10 million.
The new Channel 63 offers humor, romance, family and exclusive series content. Among the contents debuting with the channel is the soap Rebeca of Venevisión -from Monday to Friday- starring Mariana Seoane, Ricardo Álamo and Gaby Espino; the super series Camelia la Texana of Campanario Entertainment and Argos with Sara Maldonado and Érik Hayser, Juana the virgin of RCTV and Tómame o déjame, co-production of VIP 2000 TV and Nirvana Films; and Las Aparicio de Argos with Gabriela de la Garza Plutarco Haza.
