Merger between BuenaVisión TV and Teleuniverso will bring Hispanics in NY programming from Dominican Republic

BuenaVisión TV will begin transmitting exclusively programming of the renowned Dominican TV station Teleuniverso starting June 2014. This will be the first time that Teleuniverso, the TV Station from Santiago, the capital of Cibao in the Domincan Republic, will be available in the Big Apple. This new acquisition to the BuenaVisión TVs grid will offer its viewers news, entertainment and lifestyle shows. Through this fusion, BuenaVisión TV continues providing to the Hispanic community of New York interesting, informative and educational programming. We are very excited to exclusively present to our viewers Teleuniversos programming. With more than 10 hours of quality live shows from the Dominican Republic, said Carlos Barba, president of BuenaVisión TV. The union with Teleuniverso brings Dominicans and Hispanics from New York a variety of quality programming. This telecommunication agreement is an alliance between Dominicans living in the Dominican Republic and those who live in the US, said Amaury Polanco, general director of Teleuniverso.Teleuniversos programs include Como en Casa with chef Raudy Torres, Ustedes y Nosotros with José Fabián, El Rey de los Astros with famous astrologist Ransett, Teleuniverso al Día with Addis Burgos, Desde Nueva York with Fausto Cruz and A Todo Color with Claudio Concepción and María Luisa Estévez. This new programming will be incorporated to the already existing shows of BuenaVisión TV including Alain El Clarividente, CineClub, Telepais, El Show de las Estrellas and The Belmont Show. As well as to the four weekly newscasts, Teleuniverso Al Día, Noticias Sin and Noticiero Universal from the Dominican Republic and Telepais from Colombia. BuenaVisión TV will soon be transmitted exclusively through satellite distribution troughout the US and Puerto Rico via Olympusat which is one of the leading independent media companies.
