Mauricio Ochmann, actor and co-founder of production house Pata Blanca, told PRODU that Telemundo is already gearing up for the second season of the series El Señor De Los Cielos. He spoke about the importance of producing series in Latin America and said he would like to produce one for the Mexican market. In regards to his role as José María “El Chema” Venegas in Telemundo’s El Señor De Los Cielos, the actor said, “it was a complete success and there are high expectations for the second season (to premiere in 2014). The production quality is high, which demonstrates Hispanics are willing to take risks producing series.”Ochmann said he is interested in producing content for TV through his company Pata Blanca, which so far has produced two shorts: Lluvia Dentro and Los Caminos del Señor.“We also want to do commercials and music videos, with the goal of growing and offering new products. We’re headed in that direction in Mexico: toward high-quality productions like the ones done in the U.S. or England,” added Ochmann.
