Luis Felipe Ybarra, a TV writer with a 35-year career path, has created in this pandemic some short stories for Elisa Salinas, former director of Azteca Novelas, and a big project for BTF.

Although he did not reveal much about any of these projects, Ybarra, part of the Ibarra family, whose last name some members write with an I and others with a Y, explained that they had not stopped during this emergency.

“I write every day,” he said on the #PRODUprimetime program hosted by Ríchard Izarra interviewing from home to home through video calls. In the conversation, he mentioned that one of the characteristics every writer has was the archive of rejected projects, that in some cases was very big.

“In my case, I have also dedicated some time during this pandemic to check stories that have been rejected in other moments; some of them are very good and they could be considered again,” he stated in the interview.

We understood that what he is writing for Elisa Salinas are mini-stories to be made in the environment of the quarantine, in his own home, and with his daughters. He has shared several hits with Elisa in the different stages of his leadership at Azteca. Just for Lo Que Callan Las Mujeres he has written 150 episodes and wrote Mirada de Mujer 2, among many others. Recently on Telemundo Preso Nº 1, a series written by him was launched.
