Ledafilms: We will venture into the market of rights for the US

Moira McNamara, Sales director at Ledafilms, reported that for the first time, they will venture into the market of rights for the US. “There will possibly be a division in the company in charge of this market.”

The executive also revealed the breaking news that her film Todos Lo Saben was chosen to open the upcoming Cannes Festival. “The film stars Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, and Ricardo Darín, and is written and directed by Asghar Farhadi. We are proud that a Spanish film opens the festival. It has been sold in many territories. The debut of the film is on May 8 in the Festival, and as of the third or fourth quarter of the year, it will be distributed in cinemas; after that, it will be on the remaining windows.”

Other Ledafilms titles that stand out this year are Hard Powder with Liam Neeson and Luis and The Aliens, that will soon be launched throughout Latin America.
