LATV has given an important shift to their programming. The Zoo (45×30’), that had its debut last May, was the spearhead of the new programming strategy presented at the channel’s Upfront and now NFL Fan Nation (Monday and Tuesday at 8pm, and a repetition at 10:30pm) -which debuted on Monday September 12- is the next offer in that line of a “more millennial, younger” LATV. This boosts what local US is: more diverse. It is a channel that both Latinos and Anglos can watch,” expressed Luca Bentivoglio, the channel´s COO and Head of Programming.
Bentivoglio highlights that the interesting thing about NFL Fan Nation, is that its hosts -a Dominican from the East coast, Ana Marte, and a Haitian who has lived many years in Florida, Adrian Jules- discuss about soccer without being the typical experts and as if they were at home. “We trust this show very much because it is a partnership with a super important brand like NFL,” says Bentivoglio.
He added that since the Upfront they have conducted a follow-up and brands are registering with them. “We already have sponsors for several programs, important brands behind those contents.”
Bentivoglio announced the relaunching of the show En la Zona as ELZ (Mondays and Wednesdays at 10pm). ELZ is a program that presents profiles of important Latinos. For this season they will have Ximena Sariana, J.R. Ramírez, Ricardo Lamas (UFC), Kuno Becker, Roselyn Sánchez, Saúl Hernández, J Balvin and Gina Rodríguez.
