Under the umbrella of Recent Cinema from Spain, LatinWE president, Luis Balaguer, was honored with a proclamation by the City of Miami for his contributions to the film and entertainment industry promoting Latin talent, and for the excellence of his work, creating jobs and opportunities in the city of Miami.
After 25 years in the entertainment industry, Balaguer was named amongst the most powerful and influential Hispanics. Following the proclamation, October 27th will now be Luis Balaguer Day or Día Luis Balaguer in Miami.
The proclamation was handed to Balaguer by The City of Miami Mayor, Tomás Regalado.
Over 600 guests attended the kick-off event of the new releases of Recent Cinema from Spain, who for six years has brought a rich selection of recent Spanish cinema to Florida. Guests included the General Council of Spain in Miami, Candido Creis, and LatinWE stars Raúl De Molina, Karla Martínez, Rodner Figueroa and Cristian de la Fuente.
Recent Cinema from Spain is produced by EGEDA & the Olympia Theater with the Collaboration of ICAA. Earlier this month, the 22nd edition of Recent Spanish Cinema was presented in Los Angeles.
