KOCCA (Korea Creative Content Agency), an organization that supports Korea’s creative content industry, especially for broadcasting at all stages, attended LA Screenings once again, this time with eight companies, and presented 50 projects in their online screenings.
Ellie Hong, Chief Manager of the LA Business Center (Global Business Division) at KOCCA, announced the opening of an office in Mexico for Latin America and added that there are plans to open others in the region. “We will attend other markets in the region, such as MIP Cancun, and we will return to Miami. We will bring more companies to meet with Latin American buyers,” she said.
She indicated that if there are companies in Latin America interested in working with Korean companies, they can contact KOCCA. “We can find them the right partners, the ideal match,” she pointed out.
“I believe Korean content has unique stories that can resonate worldwide. They cover basic topics like family and love. People can relate to these stories. Additionally, the sale of formats can be strong because they are made freshly and can be localized, depending on the country that acquires them for adaptation,” she concluded.
